The annual Festival of Books at Spencertown Academy Arts Center is a celebration of books and reading for the whole community. For three days in early September we welcome outstanding writers and poets and nearly 2,000 readers and book-lovers to our 1847 schoolhouse in rural Columbia County. This year’s festival will feature a visit from Froggy on Saturday morning for the kids.

Kids Need Music presents a program of art songs, arias and popular songs by acclaimed soprano Kathleen O’Mara and pianist Chris Reynolds. Geoff Muldaur is one of the great voices and musical forces to emerge from the folk, blues and folk-rock scenes centered in Cambridge, MA and Woodstock, NY. During the 1960s and ’70s, Geoff made a series of highly influential recordings. His newest albums have met with high critical acclaim.
