The market will showcase more than 20 vendors offering plants, home and garden furnishings, birdhouses, antiques, garden books, and expert garden advice, plus shoppers will find bargains on choice garden items and accessories at the Academy’s White Elephant Booth. A percentage of all sales benefit the Academy. Food trucks will be on hand offering breakfast and lunch choices.
The centerpiece of the Hidden Gardens weekend is the self-guided tour on Saturday, June 15 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The tour showcases an array of exquisite private gardens in Spencertown and Old Chatham. Garden Tour tickets now available. Tickets: $35 in advance, $40 day of.

Experience the sensory pleasures of wandering through a unique visual arts celebration of spring, and a special addition to Spencertown Academy’s popular Hidden Gardens. Featuring the work of 7 invited artists from NY, Mass and Conn., whose styles range from Realism to Impressionism and Abstraction.
This show continues through July 14. For the first time in the history of this show, submitting photographers were not asked to abide by a preconceived theme. As expected, the creative variety of the accepted photographers has produced a dynamic show! All artwork is for sale.
These two renowned solo artists have joined forces to create a major new voice in American music. The songs are their own, the harmonies finely tuned, and the playing—on guitars, fiddle, banjo, and more—glances back to early American forms even as it peers forward with freshly contemporary ideas.

The annual Festival of Books at Spencertown Academy Arts Center is a celebration of books and reading for the whole community. For three days in early September we welcome outstanding writers and poets and nearly 2,000 readers and book-lovers to our 1847 schoolhouse in rural Columbia County. This year’s festival will feature a visit from Froggy on Saturday morning for the kids.

Back by popular demand, members have free admission to extended early buying at the Festival of Books. Book sales begin Friday, August 30, at 2:00 pm and continue until 8:00 pm.
