This popular annual show begins our Gallery season, and is bigger than ever. Work will be shown, in all mediums, by over 50 Academy artists.
Since 2005 the sisters have garnered critical acclaim by forging a distinctive musical imprint in which they “wed lilting voices, dynamically complex vocal harmonies, and folk-influenced melodies to dark, wryly sarcastic lyrical content.” See The Chapin Sisters here. Order Tickets.
Experience the sensory pleasures of wandering through “Gardens of Delight,” a unique visual arts celebration of spring, and a special addition to Spencertown Academy’s popular Hidden Gardens on June 15. Featuring the work of 7 invited artists from NY, Mass and Conn, the artwork depicts sumptuous, as well as playful garden imagery. The artists use styles ranging from Realism to Impressionism and Abstraction and media is also as varied and exciting.

Bend the Knotted Oak Chamber Music. Including works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Mahler, and Walton, written with astonishing maturity just as the composers were emerging from childhood. These are not mere “student” works. BKO Chamber Music includes Mitsuko Suzuki (violin), Ron Carbone (viola), Robert Reed (cello), and Uel Wade (piano and artistic direction). A reception to follow.
