Chloé Caldwell

Chloé Caldwell is the author of the national bestseller, Women. She is also the author of the books I’ll Tell You In Person, The Red Zone and Legs Get Led Astray. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, Bon Appétit, The Cut, Longreads and others, and half a dozen anthologies. Caldwell is the co-founder of Scrappy Literary where she runs writing retreats and offers personalized support for writers, and has been on faculty at Writing Workshops Paris, Writing Workshops Iceland, Gotham Writer’s Workshop, Chautauqua Institute, Fine Arts Work Center and others.

Peter S. Canellos

Peter S. Canellos is managing editor for enterprise at Politico overseeing the site’s magazine, investigative journalism and major projects. He has also been Politico’s executive editor, overseeing the newsroom during the 2016 presidential coverage. Canellos spent most of his career at the Boston Globe, including as editorial page editor. He is the editor of The New York Times bestseller, Last Lion: The Fall and Rise of Ted Kennedy.

David Hajdu

David Hajdu, the author of eight books, is a three-time finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award and four-time winner of the ASCAP/Deems Taylor Award for Music Writing.. He is considered one of the most respected arts critics in America. Now the staff music critic for The Nation, he served as music critic for The New Republic for 12 years. He has written for The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times Magazine, The New York Review of Books, Harper’s and other publications. A musician and composer, Hajdu also is a journalism professor at Columbia University.

Lisa Lerer

Lisa Lerer is a national political correspondent for The New York Times who has written about American politics, power, and elections for nearly two decades. She has covered five presidential campaigns, the White House and Congress. Her focus is examining the big personalities, ideas and emotions that drive American politics. A one-time Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, Lerer joined The Times in 2018 as the founding author of the On Politics newsletter. Previously, she was a national political writer at the Associated Press, and reported for Politico, Bloomberg News, Businessweek and the American Lawyer magazine.

Mayukh Sen

Mayukh Sen is the James Beard Award-winning author of Taste Makers: Seven Immigrant Women Who Revolutionized Food in America. His food writing has appeared in four editions of The Best American Food and Travel Writing anthologies. He has written on film for the New Yorker, the Atlantic, and the Criterion Collection. A 2025 Fellow at New America, Sen teaches film and television journalism at New York University.

Bonnie Yochelson

Bonnie Yochelson is an independent art historian and curator specializing in photography. She has organized exhibitions at art museums, history museums and commercial and non-profit galleries. She was on the faculty of the MFA Department of Photography,Video and Related Media at the School of Visual Arts from 1988 to 2017.Her notable works include Jacob A. Riis: Revealing New York’s Other Half, Alfred Stieglitz New York, and Berenice Abbott: Changing New York.
