Small Wonders: Regional Fine Arts and Crafts features works by 66 artists in a wide range of media that measure 12 inches or less in any dimension, including paintings in acrylic, gouache, oil, encaustic, and watercolor, encaustics, photography, fiber art, printmaking, works on paper in charcoal, ink, graphite, and pastel, collage, mixed media, ceramics, and sculpture. Some 120 pieces were selected from the more than 300 submissions received in response to an open call for art earlier this year.

The makers hail from all corners of the region, including the New York towns of Albany, Canaan, Castleton, Catskill, Chatham, Clifton Park, Copake, Delmar, Germantown, Ghent, Gilboa, High Falls, Hillsdale, Hudson, Kinderhook, Kingston, Malta, Millerton, Loudonville, New York City, Philmont, Rensselaer, Round Lake, Schenectady, Schuylerville, Spencertown, Stephentown, Tivoli, Troy, and Woodhaven; the Massachusetts towns of Great Barrington, Housatonic, Lenox, Monterey, New Marlborough, North Adams, Pittsfield, Sheffield, South Egremont, Southfield, West Stockbridge, and Williamstown; and the Connecticut town of Winsted.
