Memoir Writing Workshop with Elizabeth Diggs – Week 5 of 6
Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$200 – $250
Everyone has a unique life. A Memoir shapes the experience of that life into a personal narrative using words and images that resonate beyond the personal to the universal. The true story of one’s life reveals us to ourselves and connects us to each other. A personal or family memoir is a treasured legacy that often resonates for a wider audience one has never met. The goal of the workshop is for members to help each other shape a true story of 30-60 pages or more. Limited to 10 participants.
Three writers will present work at each session. There will be a suggested reading list and short handouts. Writing prompts in class will suggest ways to inspire and focus imagination and memory.
