Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute

Join us on our first field trip organized by our Curatorial Committee. Come see masterworks in the Clark’s collection with docent & Academy Board Secretary, David Highfill. Pieces from the permanent collection as well as a dozen rarely seen works on paper from the Institute’s archives will be highlighted. We will discuss American paintings by John Singer Sargent and Winslow Homer as well as European work by Albrecht Durer, Rembrandt, Piero della Francesca, Sandro Botticelli, J.M.W. Turner, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Pierre-August Renoir and many others. The tour will conclude with a pre-ordered lunch in the Clark’s cafe, or on the patio, weather permitting. Vegan, vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free options will be available. We will meet at the museum at 10:00 and the tour will take 1 hour and 15-30 minutes, including questions and discussion. Lunch will commence at approximately noon.Those attendees, who are interested, may return to the galleries to peruse after lunch.

Ticket price includes museum entry, tour, and lunch.

Participation is limited to 20 attendees.

Carpooling from Spencertown and the Lenox area will be available.
