Tenor Brian Giebler and Pianist Steven McGhee

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to cancel this performance, apologies.

Brian Giebler is a highly acclaimed tenor who has appeared in major halls in New York and throughout the states as well as in many international venues. His program will include the American and British composers: Benjamin Britten, John Ireland, Gerald Finzi, Barber, Bolcom and Head as well as Assad, Faure and Strauss, all featured on his recently released album “a lad’s love” and upcoming album, “a dad’s love.” His debut solo album garnered high praise from Gramophone, Opera News, and San Francisco Classical Voice, and earned him his first GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album.

Steven McGhee, a native of Chester County, Pennsylvania, is part of the creative fabric of southeastern Michigan, as a collaborator, music director, and educator. With his “characterful underpinning” and “expressive, ruminative performance” (Cleveland Classical) Dr. McGhee has collaborated with opera singers such as Christine Goerke, Jonathan Lasch and Caitlin Lynch, Kyle Stegall, Leann Schuering and Brian Giebler. He received a GRAMMY®Award nomination for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album for his 2020 album with Brian Giebler, “a lad’s love” on Bridge Records.
