Shakespeare in the Park: As You Like It

Shakespeare in the Park with the Rooted Voyageurs is back for the 4th year with As You Like It. Join us in the idyllic Forest of Arden, where an unexpected exile transforms into adventure and blossoming love. Filled with disguises, wit, and warmth, the beauty of nature and the power of words reign supreme in Shakespeare’s raucously classic tale.

The Rooted Voyageurs’ family-friendly bare-bones production of As You Like It is abridged and will run 90 minutes. This popular annual event will be performed at the Spencertown Town Park (786 NY-203 786 NY-203, 12165). Bring your own seating and a picnic!

The Rooted Voyageurs is a theater company founded in 2022 by Devante Owens (Artistic Director) and Zoe Wohlfeld. Their mission is to celebrate community through live performance accessible to everyone. Their company members are primarily from Columbia County, NY and Berkshire County, MA. This year’s cast features: Abigail St. John, Cole Seitz, Kirsten Mulrenan, Madeline Weltchek, Meg Kemble, Shannon Bell, Tanya Gorlow, and Taylor Slonake. All performances are donation based, you can pay as much as you want or nothing at all.
