Spencertown Academy Arts Center Members’ Art Show

Spencertown, New York–Spencertown Academy Arts Center presents its 4th annual Members’ Art Show featuring works made by more than 50 Academy community members. On Saturday, April 13, there will be an opening reception from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the show will remain on display through May 5. Gallery hours will be Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free and most of the artworks are for sale; a portion of the proceeds benefits the Academy.

Volunteer Leslie Gabosh is curating this exhibition; Norma Cohen, Barbara Lax Kranz, Moira O’Grady, and Lynn Rothenberg are also members of the Academy Gallery Committee. “This show fosters interest in all the visual arts within the Spencertown Academy community. This year, we have artists working in painting, sculpture, mono prints, lithography, photography, ceramics, drawing, mixed media, and collage,” says Gabosh. “Our members get to display and possibly sell their work to an appreciative audience with no jury involved, and there is always a festive, well-attended opening reception.”
