Spencertown Academy Presents Members’ Art Show November 18 – December 10
Spencertown, New York–Spencertown Academy Arts Center presents its 8th annual Members’ Art Show featuring works made by more than 70 Academy community members. On Saturday, November 18, there will be an opening reception from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the exhibit will remain on display through December 10. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Admission is free and most of the artworks are for sale; a portion of the proceeds benefits the Academy.
“This year’s Members’ Show is outstanding in so many ways. The artists present an amazing array of media that will keep the audience on their toes,” says Norma Cohen, chair of the Spencertown Academy Curatorial Committee. “Themes offered are light and joyful, as well as serious and moody. And the various uses of color can be exquisite and tender, and then showing big and bold in other work.”
