I have been a photographer since 1964 and studied photography at Goddard College in Vermont in the early 70s. I’ve always worked in black-and-white and embraced digital photography since 2014. I work with a Leica Monochrome Black and White only digital camera. Black and White imagery is my intention, not an afterthought.
I use soft focus, rich tonality, moody light and other modifications to create my images. I aim for emotional impact, rich and delicate images, and poetic interpretations. I have been inspired by Pictorialist photographers and Impressionist painters and use digital tools to help me create these effects.
