This is not a juried show. It’s our thank-you to members and your chance to show the world what you can do. Please make sure that your membership is current by March 1, 2019. If you are unsure, give a call: (518) 392-3693

We’ll do our best to include up to two pieces from each artist, but we can’t guarantee it. Space is limited. It all depends on the number and size of the submissions.

So, some guidelines…


  • Up to 2 pieces may be submitted in any media.
  • Work must not have been previously exhibited at the Academy.
  • Preferably this will be new work done within the last 3 years.

Artwork Specifications

  • Works hanging on the walls should notexceed more than 30” on any side, length or width. And that 30” means total: the work, the mat, and the frame itself.
  • Freestanding or 3-dimensional work must be able to be exhibited on pedestals in the following sizes: 16” x 16”, 23” x 23”, 16” x 36”, or directly on the floor.

Entry Requirements

Please send the following at the same time if possible to simplify organizing the show.

  1.  A Word document: (No PDF or HTML) please) with:
    • Your name, phone number, mailing address and email address.
    • Your bio and an optional Artist Statement for visitors to view in our gallery book.
  2. Image of your artwork in a high-quality JPEG attachment and titled in the following way:
    Artist Name-Title-Medium-Framed Size-Price.
    For example, an image could be titled: JaneDoe-WinterScene-watercolor-22×26-$425
    Note: The size given for framed works should be the size of what you are actually hanging on the wall – the entire work including the frame, edge to edge. For overall size, list height, then width (for example: 22×18 for portrait format)
  3. · A confirmation email will be sent once your entry is received.

Display Information:

  • Appropriate secure hardware must be attached to all hanging artwork for installation to insure it’s safety and stability during a busy show. Use only professional picture hanging wire affixed with screw eyes; no tape, no claw hangers, no fishing line, no string, no chewing gum. Gallery staff cannot do this for you.
  • All freestanding artwork must be able to be exhibited on the pedestals of the following sizes: 16” x 16”, 23” x 23”, 16” x 36”, or directly on the floor.

Pricing & Commission:

Though there are no price restrictions, our experience tells us you should do you best to avoid works that exceed $500.The Academy retains a 35% commission. If you wish to submit work that is for “Exhibition Only” (NFS) it will be happily accepted for this Members’ Show.

Important 2019 Dates:

  • Deadline for Submissions, by e-mail: Title, medium, framed size, price, photograph of work, Artist’s Statement and or Bio: March 8, 2019
  • Drop off artwork: Sunday April 7 and Monday April 8, 10:00am-Noon
  • Opening Reception: Saturday, April 13, 3:00-5:00pm
  • Pick up artwork: Sunday, May 5 and Monday, May 6: 10:00am-Noon
