Fourteenth Annual Festival of Books

Friday, August 30, 2019 - Monday, September 2, 2019

The annual Festival of Books at Spencertown Academy Arts Center is a celebration of books and reading for the whole community. For three days in early September we welcome outstanding writers and poets and nearly 2,000 readers and book-lovers to our 1847 schoolhouse in rural Columbia County. This year’s festival will feature a visit from Froggy on Saturday morning for the kids.

Back by popular demand, members have free admission to extended early buying at the Festival of Books. Book sales begin Friday, August 30, at 2:00 pm and continue until 8:00 pm. Members are welcome for free, and their guests for $10. Complimentary refreshments will be served from 6:00-8:00 pm for members ONLY and their guests. We thank our members for their support, and welcome not-yet members to become ones. Memberships will be for sale throughout the Festival. Become a member.

Festival of Books Children’s Program
