Bring: Your imagination and your lunch. All art supplies will be provided
Using prompts, games, and fun activities, students will learn to develop their own, original world to enhance their storytelling and art making. They will build a version of their Wild and Wacky World to present on the final day.
Spark your imaginations with examples of worlds from books & stories that you may know. Enjoy a world-building game to help us all get to know each other, fun writing & drawing prompts and a creative add-on challenge.
Start collecting details to bring into your own Wacky World. Creativity-building prompts and activities will lead us closer to connecting with our own Wild and Wacky World and its customs. Begin to plan your final project through 2 or 3 dimensional art. Students will choose from methods of expression including drawing, painting, collage, board game, shadow box, graphic novel etc.
What’s a world without inhabitants? Today is the day to introduce a major character to your Wild and Wacky World. Identify who, or “what” it is, and what happens in their world. We will start to build our final project, an original & imaginative world where characters and stories can flourish!
The afternoon of our workshop will be devoted to completing our final Wacky World projects. Students will be given a list of questions they can answer about their world. By now, they know their Wild and Wacky World so well they can’t wait to share it with you. Please come at 3 pm for a presentation of all our Wild and Wacky Worlds!
